Our History
Azagbene Indigenes in Diaspora, Rivers State, was formed in the 1990s. The body began as Azagbene Federated Communities in Diaspora but was later renamed Azagbene Indigenes in Rivers State on the 8th of August, 2026
The organisation was established out of the need for a structured platform for connection, mutual support, and the development of our people. The body subsequently adopted its official name and logo to promote effective coordination and efficient operations.
What began as informal gatherings has grown into an organised chapter focused on welfare, education, culture, and practical community development projects.
Today, we continue to expand our reach and pursue initiatives that create lasting positive impact for Azagbene families in Rivers State and in the homeland. Our commitment is to strengthen unity, promote the well-being of our people, preserve our cultural heritage, and contribute meaningfully to the development of Azagbene communities.
